Water Margin Mu Hong

Mu Hong is a prominent fictional character in Water Margin, one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature. Known by the nickname "Unrestrained" for his bold and carefree nature, he is ranked 24th among the 36 Heavenly Spirits, which make up the elite first tier of the 108 Stars of Destiny.

In the story, Mu Hong initially displays his formidable fighting prowess and sense of justice when he defends his town against corrupt officials and local bullies. Though initially skeptical of joining the outlaw band at Liangshan Marsh, he ultimately aligns with the group, recognizing their shared values of righteousness and opposition to tyranny.
