Warhammer 40k Salamanders

The Salamanders, originally known as the Dragon Warriors, are the XVIII Legion of the 20 Space Marine Legions created by the Emperor of Mankind. Their Primarch, Vulkan, instilled in them a unique ethos among the Adeptus Astartes. Unlike most other Chapters, the Salamanders are deeply committed to minimizing civilian casualties and protecting the Emperor's innocent subjects wherever possible.

This distinct compassion stems from their close connection to the people of their homeworld, Nocturne. Unlike many other Astartes, the Salamanders maintain strong ties with their mortal families and the Nocturnean populace even after their transformation into Space Marines, forging an enduring bond of loyalty and humanity.
