Warhammer 40k Knight Lord Chaos Space Marine

The Night Lords were originally the VIII^th Legion of Space Marines created during the First Founding. They betrayed the trust of the Emperor of Mankind during the Horus Heresy of the early 31st Millennium and became one of the 9 Traitor Legions of Chaos Space Marines     .

Chaos Space Marines, also sometimes called Traitor Marines, Renegade Marines, or Heretic Astartes, are former Space Marines of the Imperium of Man who have chosen to abandon the service of the Emperor of Mankind and dedicate themselves to Chaos to achieve their own ends. They are counted among the most favoured and powerful servants of the Powers of Chaos. Technically the Chaos Space Marine Legions are the only Space Marine Legions still in existence, the loyalist Legions having been reformed into self-contained Chapters after the Heresy.
