Li Ying is the master of the Li Family Manor, which, alongside the Zhu and Hu Family Manors, dominates the Lone Dragon Ridge in Yunzhou, corresponding to present-day Dongping County in Shandong province. A wealthy landowner with command over a private militia, Li Ying is known for his generosity and his penchant for forming bonds with honorable and chivalrous men.
