International Chess - Bishop
The bishop is a chess piece known for its diagonal movement and strategic flexibility. It moves and captures exclusively along diagonal lines and cannot jump over other pieces. While the bishop has no limit on the distance it can travel in a single move, it is restricted to diagonal paths. To capture an opponent's piece, the bishop must occupy the square where the enemy piece stands.
Due to its diagonal movement, each bishop remains confined to squares of one color—either light or dark—throughout the game. This means that each bishop is effectively limited to half of the chessboard, making its positioning and coordination with other pieces essential to effective play.
