The Ringwraiths were Sauron's most terrifying servants in J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. Originally nine powerful men, they were tricked and corrupted by Sauron's Rings of Power. These rings granted immortality, but twisted them into wraiths forever bound to the One Ring's fate.

Clad in black and wielding dreadful blades, the Ringwraiths struck fear into the hearts of all living things. They possessed immense power, including dark magic and the ability to sense the One Ring. Their leader, the Witch-king of Angmar, was particularly feared. While only the leader and one other, Khamûl the Easterling, are named in the books, all nine served as relentless hunters for Sauron, forever pursuing the One Ring and anyone who dared to oppose the Dark Lord.
