As the Lord of Angmar, he waged a ruthless campaign against the northern realms of Middle-earth, most notably against the kingdom of Arnor. His reign was marked by dark sorcery and terror, culminating in his fall at the Battle of Fornost. Though his physical form was destroyed, his spirit lived on as a powerful and malevolent force, serving as a key antagonist in the struggle against the forces of good.
