Kaname Tōsen is a complex character in Bleach, known for his unwavering commitment to his own sense of justice. Once the captain of the 9th Division of the Gotei 13, Tōsen ultimately betrayed Soul Society, aligning himself with Sōsuke Aizen and Gin Ichimaru. This act of treachery placed him in direct conflict with his former best friend, Sajin Komamura, and his loyal former lieutenant, Shūhei Hisagi. Before his betrayal, Tōsen served under Kensei Muguruma as the 5th Seat of the 9th Division, demonstrating early signs of his exceptional abilities and leadership potential.
